Got an email from my dear friend  Axel Schlosser the other day. Axel is a great trumpet player whome I´ve known for quite some time now. His and drummer Jean Paul Höchstädter´s LP “Northbound/Southbound” is ready to be released on the very fine label “Edition Longplay”. The music was recorded last summer at Hansa Studios in Köln. We also did a few concerts in the Frankfurt area. The band features Rainer Böhm piano, Arne Huber bass, J-P Höchstädter drums, Axel Schlosser trumpet and myself on tenor and soprano sax.
